Default What does this code mean?

Im using vol-fcr and im getting this code on a regular basis, engine runs and drives fine without any problems even when this code shows up and puts the engine check light on.

EFI-713 Injection timing valve signal

Any help?

there could be an open circuit in the cable between the 3 pin fuel injection pump connector terminal 3 and the common injection timing valve and fuel regulator power cable junction point.
when the dtc is stored.

Thanks Mike, unfortunately im not at all clued up with electronics. In simple terms how do i fix this?

It is an intermittent fault but when it trips the code, it feels as if it pulls back the timing, so need to sort this one out asap.

fault code EFI-713 apparently refers to the solenoid valve on the high pressure pump and you can buy a new Volvo part number - 8642594

Can't vouch for this but that's what it says
