Default oil leak

I have oil on the ground after driving. I thought it was from crank seal.I noticed oil on the top of the engine from engine breather. is there something that goes to look out for.. why would oil be coming out of that? I am going to clean the engine. few/ any thoughts welcome.

It is black. I am adding oil once a week or more depending on how far I drive, maybe half litre. It had about 20 years of oil all over it, I cleaned the engine this am. now I can see the engine again.

Change the breather filter in the cap on top of the rocker box. It is a gauze type filter and becomes blocked after a fair mileage. The pipe from the breather filter to the turbo may also have perished causing a blockage. Check that there is no blockage in the top of the rocker box where the breather exits.

All the best, Peter.
