Rear lower spring seat removal
I know there is a topic open already for this, but my issue is removal of said spring seat, the locating pin is missing and the thing is rattling like hell and is really doing my head in!
I have tried jamming and lowering various things on top if this in vain attempt to lock it, tried mole grips... but I am unable to get it loosened. Has anyone had this problem? How did you get it loose? The nut is pretty tight... 1998 v70, with Nivos... |

Underneath offset from the bolt should be a spike that sticks through to stop it spinning, if its not there its probably bent up when youv'e turned the nut. If possible see if you can bend it back down through the hole and hold it with some mole grips while undoing the nut or prefferably put some heat in the nut first but try and avoid the petrol tank with the blow torch. If the spike has snapped you can grab the mount with some large adjustable pliers (eagle beaks).

Ive got one from a scrapper, The spike has snapped on mine. Im going to try last option and heat it up, using freezer spray on the shaft to try and release it.
Ive PM'd you about the rack and an injector, Is your box full? |
