Happy motoring and hey lets be careful out there
It's not that they are two a penny, it's just as others have said, a little ambitious to ask £1700 for a standard motor. If you'd spent a fortune uprating the suspension, tuning etc, it may well be a different matter.

I love my 240 saloon as well. She's insured for £1250, and she's very shiny ( '88 240 GL blue green metallic), has the Volvo extra instrument pack (up top where they normally put the radio), 760 alloys (the Virgos are being refurbished), genuine Volvo snowcaps, headlamp protectors, floor trays, mudflaps, stonking radio/Cd, 'leccy bone, and ten disc changer in the boot. Still only done a genuine 124,000 - but nobody's going to pay that; except the insurance company if some twot tries to wipe himself out on the old girl.

Cheers,

T

Thank you Mr T240 for your helpfull comments, but I am still open to offers, The amount mentioned was was an indication of how much I value the car not what it may be worth.

Dear All
I have to report that a nice chap from Poole has bought my Volvo for over £1000, not bottle tops.
I would like to thank the Volvo Owners Club for all their help.
Best wishes to all for the future
Please drive carefully
Captain Pete
