  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default Spotify

Packed up a couple of days ago. Logs on and plays last music but permanent spinning wheel of eternal misery so can't select library or settings to log out only skip to next track

Am I alone in this plight?

I had similar issues when I was using Spotify (native app) and Apple Carplay was active but Spotify was not used on Carplay.

Same here and I prefer to use Spotify directly on Sensus. After the Vodafone sim saga this.



Hopefully Volvo will fix it soon.

I have same issue here in Finland on my V60 too, hope that they will be fixing it soon.

Same issue here (2019 V90 so pre-dates Google based infotainment operating system); local dealer (Stoneacre) unfamiliar with the problem so your post has saved me a potentially catastrophic uninstall / reinstall (reinstall might not be possible?) of the Spotify app, thank you.

I had this spinning error after using apple car play the other week!!!!

The stress trying everything to resolve it…..!!!

Anyway, deleting and te-installing was a non issue and relatively quick.

But that didn’t resolve anything….

Eventually started working again…

Problem now is I’m too scared to use Apple Car Play 😳

Spotify claim it's a Volvo issue and that Volvo have today updated Spotify to the effect they're (Volvo) are still working on it. My scepticism is threefold:
1. I'm guessing SENSUS is a US / North American system so might not be a UK / Rest of World solution?
2. The two Volvo main dealers to whom I've spoken are oblivious to the problem (ie No Volvo internal memo?)
3. Even if it IS resolved worldwide, doesn't mean I've not go my own problem, peculiar to my car. (Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not after me!)

Point 3 is why I'm grateful to have your note... you say uninstall / reinstall was a non-issue? I'm concerned that if I uninstall Spotify in my car then it'll totally disappear from the car's list of download options (I tested this by deleting Weather app and that's gone for good; Yelp uninstalled but remains in the background available to download).

Clearly I'll wait until Volvo have chance to resolve but I'm not holding my breath.

ps Since writing, I've spoken on the phone with a human not a bot at Volvo UK HQ - they confirm there IS a known issue and that they understand Volvo (Sweden?) are working to resolve.

I understand what you mean about Spotify not being there to reinstall if you delete it…..

I think some of the other apps are no longer supported, hence if you delete it is not available to reinstall……

Sadly I’m not sure we can check that f an app is still “current” and thus still downloadable…..

I took a gamble (big one I admit) but I think Spotify is around for a while…..

Today ill uninstalled Spotify from my car S90 -19. Spotify app was gone from apps for good. But mid day it was apps again for download. Reinstalled but no it won't work just spinning for connection. No good for now.
