Default Help identifying door clips!

Hi

2006 V70 d5 - I want to take the door panel off to fit some sound insulation to stop rattles from low frequency audio.

I followed a guide on youtube to the point of 'popping' out the centre of the clips but all mine shot the little centre part straight inside the clip, obviously not the same type. Upon trying to pry a full clip out it snapped the flange.

With some trim removal tools, I got this one out whole, but want to have a few more for back-up on the next removals.

Can anyone help with where I can find an part number / source? I haven't checked, but just thought....would this info in be in VIDA for my particular car / model?

Yes.
Every part on your car is on Vida.

The ones on my doors (07' S60) do the same when pushed in. It's just another horrid and flimsy bit designed by some deranged child on Volvo's engineering team.

Don't beat yourself up! I believe the black-coloured "pocket" is there to catch the bit that "shoots" in? Make sure the centre bit is pushed all the way through into this pocket, this should then make extracting the clip possible.

Anyways, I couldn't find any door trim-clip online that was a prefect match size-wise and colour of my door-panel. I hope someone with VIDA will give you part#, you may have to let Volvo dealership rip you off for some clips...

Good luck!
