Yes best choice for low mileage. Other benefit is cheaper insurance and servicing.

Amazed, not sure if you got much feedback on your question, but if it helps I've a 2013 D2 with 24k on it - my daily drive is just 50 miles, with the odd blast to Glasgow thrown in (2-3 hour journey) - current mpg reads as 60.2, and a full tank is doing around 600 miles. Personally I love the D2 engine (2nd one I've owned) - its not quick or overly refined, but does everything I ask.

I'm not looking for anything quick, just something capable of a 60 mile daily round trip, with occasional longer runs, and able to keep up with traffic.

I suffer with sciatic problems, so I'm quite looking forward to the legendary Volvo seating as a bonus...
