Default Volvo P1800S tick over issue

Hello
I hope this finds everybody well?
I am looking for some advice on my P1800S which has a tick over issue.
The car starts ok and then the tick over speed starts to fall until eventually the engine stops.
I should point out it runs ok on some choke but once the choke is pushed home the revs of course start to slow down.
I did suspect the tick over screw wasn't adjusted correctly but managed to eliminate that.
Anybody any ideas?
Best regards
Dave

Have you set up the carbs by the book? You have to go step by step. 1 tick over screw doesn't set the tick over. Loosen the clamp on the middle the throttle shaft and treat them as seperate carbs.
