Default The Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid - same world-class safety as ot

The Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid includes a systematic approach to all safety aspects related to battery power. The basic perspective is that the plug-in version must be as safe as any other new Volvo car - when it comes to owning and driving and also in the event of an accident

Certainly looks interesting and one of the first diesel hybrids too which makes a lot more sense IMHO than petrol hybrid.

Yes it does look interesting.........................but, is it going to be much the same as any other electric car, very limited mileage before requiring re-charge, eight hours+ to charge the battery pack before you can use the car again, very short battery pack lifespan then £#### to replace the expired battery pack.
Until car developers/manufacturers come up with a car than can re-charge the batteries as it is driven (not hybrid), make an electric car that can travel in excess of three hundred miles between charging and make it within the average working mans reach cost wise they will be nothing more than modified milk floats.
Realistically speaking do we think the oil giants will ever stand down and let anyone produce a car that joe public can afford to run without throwing petrol or diesel in every few days?

My bad, just realised it is a diesel hybrid and not just electric.
