Default XC70 Cam belt change query.

Dear all

A quick question if I may - for a 2012 XC70 that is approaching 60k miles when should I look to have the cam belt changed?

Hoping someone out there can offer an opinion.

Kind regards

which engine do you have ? If 5 cylinder diesel it is Every 108000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first

You MUST have your aux belt changed every 54000 miles irrespective of time ... this is important it was a new addition in the last 6 years so may have been neglected at 108000 miles it is changed together with it's tensioner anyway

Default 2016 xc70 cam belt

I read your comment re the D5 engine cam belt changes. I have a 2.0L 2016 XC70 with 29,000 miles. When should the cam belt be changed? I lost faith with my local Volvo dealer earlier this year when they overfilled with oil & later in the year when the "service check" light illuminated, they tried to charge me for rectifying their fault!

If thats the new 2 litre 4 cylinder , belt change is now 90,000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first .
