Default volvo v60 se lux premium bi-xenon

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I do have a volvo v60 se lux premium 2011. And I do need some advise on my low beam headlights. They are bi-xenon but fairly yellowish in color. Is that how they are meant to look? And my daylights are fairly dim is this because the low beam lights are on all the time?. My headlights don't ever turn off and I presume this is normal for volvo cars?
I would like to replace my low beam headlights to a white ones but not sure what type of bi-xenon I need to look for.

Thank you

I think they are D4S as I seem to have been through a few as the cheap ones were no good. Stuck with Osram in the end. They do stay on though, but I prefer that, fewer people cut you up

Just guessing you mean day time running lights when you quote "daylights are fairly dim". They are in fact parking lights.

Hi,

So the strip of lights next to the grill are parking lights (color purple ish), I didn't know that, I thought they were daytime running lights. They are fairly dim anyway I guess they are meant to be that was. When I turn on the car, the headlights are fairly white but after less than 10 seconds they turn yellow. Is this normal? I did notice one of them was flickering tiny bit but not for very long. They are 6 years old anyway. so my question are they meant to be whitish or that is the normal yellow color? I want to replace them with something decent osram or phillips brand. No warnings on my dashboard yet regarding my headlights.

Thank you

Replace both if you have seen one of them flickering.
I can recommend osram nightbreakers. They are at circa 4.35 kelvin so not crazy white but they are much brighter than phillips - and cheaper too!

Thank you for the advise, I will be replacing them anyway, but I am not 100% sure the type of HID I have in my car. I found places where they say it is D2R, D3R and at the beginning of this post muffking D4s. I don't know much about HID. Will it be worth calling volvo dealership and ask them?

Scratch that. I've just checked my spare bulbs and they're definitely D3S.
