Default Identify the part

My dad hit the side of his p2 v70 on a rail around the trolley park at sainsburys and in doing so the rear left wheel is now bent by about 5 degrees, we can see the bent part but have no idea what its called so can anyone help identify it.

Heres a better view of the right side:

And the left damaged side:

It is the track control arm really , it is designed to bend to protect the rest of the suspension , lucky there ! the inner bolt is eccentric to allow for track adjustment , so mark it's position when replacing .Best to get a 4 wheel align done afterwards which will indicate if there is any further damage ..

thanks a lot we were searching for a control arms but only finding the front ones so weren't completely sure it was definitely a control arm. He was definitely lucky it didn't do much else except a nasty dent in the door and damage to his ego of course oh and his wallet.
