Mileage has gone backwards on this car, it would appear I have more history on the car than the owner judging by the advert info.

Plus only 240 bhp and auto boxes can start to be on last legs around this mileage.

Looks tidy though just hearing aid interior

Thats an awful lot of money for a car that is not a T5 or T5R.
Has he made the model designation up too?

Although I agree that its over priced I think you will find it is an 850R..

Not many manuals where available and for some reason the cream was a preferred option as was the automatic box but both are easily changed..

I spoke with the chap and he has corrected the mileage to 147.

He had it up as 137.

Last time I saw it 14 months ago it was 140.

I don't think he has much info on the car as he seems not to know the Cambelt was changed recently etc.

Very handy having all the old for sale adverts.

Price wise I've sold 3 in the last 18mth - 2 years for much more.

1 x manual conversion t5r 854
1 x 2000 laser auto v70r
1 x gul manual estate

£12k for all 3, as near as damn it.

Everyone keep poo poo-ing the prices but I've not had a problem selling mine.

Gul first day full asking price.
Laser about a week or 2
854 about a week.

Overpriced ? Who can say, these car prices are rising
T5 & T5R good but the R's where much more refined & some are rarer than the limited T5R yellow models.
Ok, so the guy got mileage mixed up, but any buyer would check vehicle records, if they don't correspond then walk away.
140k, now 147, that to me adds up.
Originality on these cars will soon become a deciding factor, as far as price goes.
No collector would touch a butchered auto to manual conversion let alone a changed interior
So, how many red 850R's with auto & beige interior & saloon are left ?, a handful ?
A collectors car is worth as much as anyone values it at. This one is not original enough for me.
If it had 50k, one owner undamaged & history its value to me would be £5,000
