Dear all,
We have a XC90 2010 with dealer fitted read camera which stopped working (all dark, no picture, no line but the sat nav still work). My first idea was to check the fuse but as it a dealer fit... not docuemented.. any pointer anyone? |

I have the .pdf files for installing both the camera and the module, but camera one is too big to post on here.
PM me an email address, and I'll send it to you Cheers Dave |

If it is the standard Volvo camera, then the documentation is in VIDA and the wiring is in the Volvo Wiring Diagram.
Both available online, google is your friend

Having fitted one of these it is possible that the connection at the back of the sat nag has been disturbed.

Thanks. Do you mean the top screen or the player underneath the driver seat. We spent some on this last week and it is complicated. I cannot even understand if that camera is linked to a fuse.

There is a fuse and it is in the rear fuse carrier which is located in the left side of the boot. I am referring to the player under the seat as that is where the camera plugs in. Have a rad of the instructions above as they will explain it all better.

The camera is wired from the tailgate to the PAC (park assist, camera) control module located in the cavity under the REM (ream electronics module), on the left hand side of the XC90 cargo area. See the installation manual for thex exact location.
The PAC is powered by a fuse in the REM The PAC sends a video feed along a coax cable which is wired into the back of the navigation drive (MMM, multimedia module), under the left hand front seat. The nav drive then knows a backup camera exists and instructs the screen to switch from RGB nav video to the backup camera video.
