240 GL auto saloon for sale

Life is a real bugger sometimes.

I picked this lovely low mileage saloon up last month with the aim of keeping it long term. Low mileage with loads of history and only a bit of minor cosmetic work needed to make it (in my opinion) immaculate. All is well!

Then, out of the blue, my wife is made redundant. Something has to go and this is the most likely candidate.

Its on just over 80K and I had it fully serviced the week before last even though it didnt really need it. The cambelt was done late last year and it has 11 months MOT left.

Its all been well documented in this thread - this include links to other threads relating to the car - all of this should give a comprehensive picture

The only things to add are that the sticky passenger door lock is now fixed and I think it will need a new starter motor soon - as it sometimes is sluggish disengaging. Any other faults are detailed mainly in my thread below.

Basically it feels 100% reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to get in it and drive 1000 miles.

Any inspection you like. I am based midway between Maidenhead and Reading in Berkshire, near to junctions of the M4 and M40. Post code RG10 9LE.

Looking for £1500 - obviously due to circumstances am not looking for p/x's or low offers. I would rather it went to one of the enlightened than ended up on eBay or Autotrader where I would ask for a bit more than this.
