I assume this is another feature that they either removed from MY22 or haven't worked out how to/bothered to implement in Android Automotive yet...

Honestly, I’m still baffled by this. Had a 2014 merc where I could choose from blue or that lovely BMW orange (oddly) and that was fun in a way.
While it is completely unimportant to me I want to know how others are controlling the interior colour lighting. I bought a v90CC that in theory has lit tread plates but it doesn’t. Should I expect it to have colourable interior lighting? If so, how?

This is for a MY19 car, I'm not sure what applies to earlier or later year models.

I don't see the point in this at all. My previous Mercs had all sorts of illuminated strips and lights in the cabin that could all be changed to a different colour. Even my wife's Fiesta has them in several places. But Volvo give us a crappy light that does nothing at all.
I know the light is very unimportant, and I wouldn't choose a car based on it, but it shows Volvo up as a weak contended in a crowded market.

I absolutely agree with you. That is why and for some other reasons, this Volvo I own will be my last one. I like the XC60 and it's ok. But I also like other brands that offer way more in several areas that Volvo is incapable of delivering.

I am with you 100%. This is my first and last Volvo. Will see what the market looks like in 2 years when due to change but will probably go back to German.

Currently using the temperature dependent setting but it’s been so bl**dy cold since I picked it up 10 days ago it just seems to be white all the time!
Anyone know what colour should relate to what temperature? |

If things have not changed on the newer models, when you move the temperature slider up and down the LED changes colour. At the lowest setting it is white and changes to amber as you move the slider up to the highest setting, thats it, white or amber.
