Default 240GLT estate for sale

Yesterday I drove my maroon 1984 240GLT estate out to grass as I will shortly be needing the space for something else, so it now needs a new home. However, its new owner ought to be willing to do some welding - thats the reason I'm not using it now. The rear arches plus area near the rear suspension mounts made pound-note signals rush past the eyes of two local firms when it went for MoT, not the kind of news a pensioner needs to hear.

The good points:-
VOC member/enthusiast-owned for over 20 years
very clean engine with 175k miles on the clock
manual/overdrive gearbox
always garaged (until yesterday)
almost perfect rear tailgate (I got £30 for the last one)
beige leather interior
The bad points:-
the rusting rear arches etc
front seats changed for cloth-covered (but included in sale)
small ding in front of bonnet
some lacquer peeling from door and wing tops
slow puncture in one sunburst alloy wheel
exhaust near manifold starting to blow a bit

I have been offered £160 for it as scrap if trailered to where my son took his Sierra recently but it has so much potential for welding-up or spares I would rather it gets a new lease of life. One of this Forum regulars did want it but has found a car with the spec he wanted, so still available.
If nobody interested in driving it away on trade-plates (no longer legal) for around £200 I'll leave it in the farmyard inland from Bognor on the south coast and take some spares off for the Torslander I now have.

Direct email if you want some pics (this non-broadband machine can't upload here - we've tried) is audakt@tesco.net

Bognor. Too far for me. I'd only break it for bits anyway.

(I really do need a car trailer.)
