Default MY23 orders

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what dealers are saying about MY23 orders.

I have 18 months left on my V60 PCP and wondered if now was a good time to put in a new order given the long lead times?

Has anyone had a confirmed PCP quote for a MY23 order?

Thanks
Paul

My dealer has shared the pricelist with me but says they cannot take any orders or quote for contract hire until it is officially on their system.

They said that would be early December but I have not heard anything yet....

leads time seem a bit of a mystery but I am thinking a minimum of 6 months but expect it to be closer to 9 months.

I’d echo NeillP’s thoughts on that. My dealer confirmed a late April early May delivery for my MY2022 but said it had one of the last build slots. Apparently lots of later orders being cancelled/moved to MY2023 when they have them loaded into system in next couple of weeks. He fairly openly told me those were then looking at September or October next year for delivery.

Many thanks Neillp.

I was leaning toward waiting until the new year before doing anything and a 9 month wait would not bother me too much given how long I have left on my current deal.

I think I have seen the V60 price list in another thread. I love the idea of the Ultimate trim line but not sure I can justify the extra £4-5k over the Plus model

Just been on Carwow and they have the new trim lines on the website (I checked V60, V90, XC60 and XC40). Just had some quotes through for the V60 too.

We replaced our XC90 R-Design MY22 (.5 as had the 18kWh?) PCP order just before Christmas with a MY23 Ultimate (lower price, effectively an upgrade to Pro, plus Android Automotive which in 4 years should still be cutting edge).

The MY22 was set for end March to early April, while the MY23 has a preliminary date of early May. We've not yet had an update though, so not sure how much stock to put in that!

If it's a lot later though, the new electric Embla or whatever it ends up being called will be announced (Summer 2022, delivery 2023?) and people will start cancelling orders and waiting for that.

Emailed Volvo UK and was sent the MY23 pricelist below which doesn't appear to be on the public website yet ...

Just wondering if anyone with an MY23 order has had confirmation of factory acceptance yet? Placed my order 6 weeks ago and was told it would be end of feb/early March before it came though.

Nothing yet. A woolly "Juy/August" but nothing firmer, and as far as I'm aware nothing officially related to our specific order, placed end of December.

When I placed my order for a V60 MY23 I was told that production for this model will start in June/July.

That’s my understanding too for build date but once the dealer submits the order to Volvo it goes into a holding pool until the factory accepts it for build, and at that point ive been told I get a slightly more accurate provisional date (albeit it may well change). Last time I ordered new, that acceptance happened quite quickly as I ordered in March, but it doesn’t seem to have happened for any MY23 orders yet.
