  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Those returns are hugely impressive for a B5P, I’m getting not much more in my B5D. I’ve managed up to 48mpg on a long run, but 43-44mpg is more typical, with mid 20s on short local trips

I would add that I don’t thrash the car and tend to stay within the 70mph speed limit on motorways.

I’d have considered a petrol if I thought I’d get those sorts of returns.

Well, you're not magically producing new engine oil! You're diluting it with diesel - it WILL be damaging the engine - how much and whether the engine life will be shortened enough to fail prematurely is hard to quantify.
