OBD II Diagnostic software??
is there any software out there, that u can put onto a laptop, connect to your obd 2 port on car, then take readings of various stuff, ie boost, etc, error codes??

With a nod towards Alfonzobonzo who brought this to my attention:
http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_STNISO.html and it works well via a laptop. It will, in conjunction with the software package downloadable from their site, enable you to read codes (and I think clear them). You can also read real time data from sensors. I think there is an option to reset the ECU (probably not the greatest idea........) but the software is not yet complete. The only problem I've found is that I have yet to find anyone who will admit to knowing how to judge if the sensors are reporting potential problems as I can't find a list of "acceptable" values anywhere (for any car let alone my S40!). The tool costs under £70.
