Default Volvo Cars App Just Doesn't Work

Had my XC60 T6 Recharge for about 3 weeks now. Loving the car. Hating the app.

On the play store, it says you should have a map with the car location, car journal showing range etc. I have none of it! The charging section is flakey at best in that it might tell me an accurate time for charging..... or it might not.

I've reset the car settings, deleted and reinstalled the app. Nothing.

This is a very poor show from any international company to push out something not fit for purpose. Dealer says they're having nothing but trouble with it.

Anyone else experience this or even better, know how to fix it?

yep
simple
dump the milk float
buy a proper car with a petrol engine
delete the app and stop being an "app for that" type

I'd have to agree - the more I see stuff like this surrounding the helplessness of anything controlled by an app/charging points etc, etc; then the more I am driven to spending potentially thousands up to 2030 keeping my 70R on the road. Sorry leccy types...

Surely the dealer should sort this out for you? It's all part of the service. I don't know if the app for your car is significantly different to the one we have on older cars but mine has always worked fine, since the dealer set it all up for me.

Same problems for me. Nothing on the app works except lock/unlock, and even that is intermittent. I only really care about the remote start/climate feature as I like the idea of warming my car up before I get in it in the morning. Unfortunately that feature has never worked for me and the timers don't even appear as an option.

For me, the app only shows functionality for lock/unlock and climate.

I have a 22 V90 (not recharge).

The problems are mainly with the new app, the old app works fine. I had the option to switch back to the old one, see if you have that option, the old one is very good and has all the features the OP mentioned.

It does have a petrol engine, quite a good actually together with the Super charger, Turbo Charger and battery.

Had my xc60 B4 22 model, for three months now. The App does nothing apart from lock and unlock, remote start did not work for two months, has been working for last month! When they eventually understand Google automotive perhaps there will be more functionality…

I don't have a mobile phone so I would be pretty stuck in a new car!

The good news for me is that any cars I now buy will be older, not newer, so this is unlikely to ever be an issue for me.

You don't "need" to use a phone Familyman, so even old people like me can drive a new Volvo!
