I remember reading about a guy on the forum who lived in Stroud that would pick up your Volvo locally, service it and return.
Anybody got his details please or know a good mechanic locally?
Thanks

OK... not exactly 'local'.

If you're south Bristol, down the A38 there is a very good indy. And they have loan cars available for you to 'borrow'.

Used them for many years (but I've retired and moved now!) and always found them to be friendly, helpful and good.

I’m North Bristol but close enough.
Who do you recommend then please?

The previous post must refer to Shipham Motors (in Shipham!!). Can't recommend either way as not used them (or not for 35 years).

You could try the new Volvo dealer in Filton (Waylands), opening August, if you like main dealer rates ...

Duh!

Sorry, mental abberation!

They're called Shipham Motors.

The gaffer, Phil, goes on very many courses at Volvo HQ to keep up to date on things - old and new. And his 'crew' are all darned good as well.
