my v40 model doesnt exsist ? 1.9 DS OR 1.9 DI ?
HELP HELP HELP !! What is my V40 ????
My logbook & insurance policy all state that i own a 2001 v40 1.9 DS, but everytime i try to purchase a part the vehicle selections never list my DS model only the Di ? From what i've researched they're the same spec i.e. bhp 115 / 85kw, etc. I have recently snapped my rear coil spring & burst the shock absorber ( dampener ) & need to purchase a new one, which is where my problem remains. All shocks & springs 'ive tried to buy are listed as being compatible with the 1.9 di, BUT when i put in my reg they all come back as non compatible ??? aaaaahhhhh !!! Why is my so called DS model never listed in the vehicle drop down selection boxes for compatibilty ?? ANY help would be gratefully received |

Ds never listed
Thanks for reply Peter, this is where I’m stuck as the Ds model is never listed as an option in any web parts site’s compatibly selector, di is there every time but says it’s not a fit by my registration.

As Peter said, your car is a 1.9D S
The S stands for the basic model. Then there is the Sport, the SE and the Sport Lux The Di, has nothing to do with our cars. You will find it on the Mitsubishi Charisma, either as 1.9Di or 1.9Di-D and also on Vivaros. The Renault with the same engine use the 1.9DCi designation
