I had a Citroen CX 2.5 Gti Turbo (to give it its full name lol) - it had those metric Michelin TRX tyres. IIRC the BMW 635 had them as well? Maybe all the 6xx series of that age.

Pics of my old CX, just because

edit - I have no idea why the pics have rotated sorry!

Yes, I think the CX is one of those 'wish I'd kept it' cars

I must confess to having owned four of them - 3x GTi Turbos and one 22TRS (not at the same time!).

(Apologies for the thread drift)

Usually folk will purchase a 50 profile over a 45 profile due to cost. Profiles that are 'x'5 i.e. 35,45,55 are usually more expensive than 40, 50, 60 profile.

Therefore it's not uncommon to find fatter profiles on cars run on a budget.

Just my findings.

Another ex owner here. Always liked the Citroen suspension (as did Rolls Royce who used it on their cars). Owned a number of Citroens over the years.

Sorry to have caused such a furore. It was indeed a typo. I meant 205/50/16 not 55.

Apologies
