I've got a long wait though as estimated build date is Oct 14th so I'm hoping that some of the semiconductor issues will be eased a little by then. Not holding my breath though just in case.
Guess we can all take lead times with a pinch of salt then. My XC60 will come from China its a PHEV Recharge T6 Inscription in Silver Dawn with all available packs including driver assist and 360 Cameras. Ordered on 17 June with an estimated delivery date from the factory of 28 September. Reckon thats way optimistic!

Your dealer has likely used a build slot they already had in the queue, then changed the spec to your order before it's locked down.

Shame this took a downwards turn. Hopefully the mods do have something to say.

I can live without BLIS as I've never had it but decided on a new car as it's so hard to find any brand second hand with adaptive cruise fitted.

It's good that Mindless mentioned how happy they are with the Google infotainment. I've heard people mention some issues with with the software not being completely up and running yet but hoping things are ironed out somewhat by October.
Really looking forward to the Google applications as I got rid of a RAV4 after only a year owing to its awful infotainment system. Truly dreadful, it was like having to use Windows 95 again.
I ordered a petrol AWD Momentum and added:
Space saver spare wheel
Privacy glass
360 camera
Heated windscreen and steering wheel (climate pack)
Adaptive cruise control
Diamond cut 18” wheels

Yes...yes they do. Sorry it's taken a while, but it's been a nice day, and we're not glued to our keyboards!

I appreciate that this might have started out as a joke (and possibly something we'd have brushed off in the pub), but it wasn't really the right side of the line for a public forum. Equally, the retort was unnecessary.

As you were...!

cheers

James

Nice choice. I stretched for the R Design Pro as I wanted adaptive suspension but added adaptive cruise and 360 camera. I used carwow to find deals and the local dealer matched it but then improved on it as I work for the NHS and they had another discount they could use. Couldn't have afforded it otherwise.

I chose diesel as I do plenty of miles. Don't know if that's the right choice now as I do less miles because of covid.

I really liked the look of the R-Design but couldn’t justify the cost for a few cosmetic items. I wanted 18” wheels as the roads where I live are awful. I’ve currently got a claim in with the council for a new tyre after an encounter with a pothole.

I was in two minds about petrol or diesel. The dealer persuaded me that the future value of the petrol would offset the additional cost of the fuel and, at 250bhp, it was pretty good to drive!

I collected mine yesterday from Volvo Tonbridge - the google powered infotainment is definitely better than the last Sensus module. No drive modes now, but an off road mode can be selected within the menu. Drives much better than my last V90 T5, in terms of engine & gearbox response. I am missing a couple of features I liked though like the auto handbrake and the automatically retracting cargo cover.
I’ll be getting some miles on it this week...

Reading these omissions is disappointing.

I heard that the drive modes had been removed which seems like a backward step. I can live without the auto brake. It's handy with a manual but I turn it off on automatics.

What have they replaced the retracting cargo cover with? Is it just a fixed cargo shelf now? That's annoying if so as I'll have to remove it each time the dog goes in the boot. Did you get another V90 or change to an XC60?
