Well, OK, why is there a burn off system on the MAF if the air is so clean and highly filtered? What is it burning off? After a while the nice shiny wire is dulled by carbonised residue from the burn off and that affects the performance. Clean it properly and the nice shiny wire is restored and it performs as intended.

The hot wire disappeared about 25 years now , so maybe most have come to the end of their natural life by now ..

Smile Spare MAF

Hi, I have a new, unused Air Flow Mass Meter part ref 0280218045 if anyone is interested. A small payment that I can give to charity would be nice but it’s free to collect if you email me.
