I've had the Michelin Cross Climates for nearly 3 years now. Did over 20k on one pair with life left when I sold my XC90 last month. Have since sold (on here the OEM wheels) as I wanted Cross Climates again on my new XC90. Wouldn't be comfortable without them (or a similar all season type tyre). They wear well and apart from the concrete M25 between the A3 and M23 are very quiet.
15% off for 4 at the moment I think. You need to get the 'SUV' spec to get over 19" wheels. I may sound a bit like a broken record when complementing the Cross Climates but they really are superb!

The original CCs, according to tests, had been surpassed by newer models from other manufacturers, but the new version raises the game again (CC2). Worth getting the latter as I think both are still available.

I think you're right - but is the CC2 designed for North America? (slightly different compounds etc for distance over grip?) The SUV are the newer version than standard CC which we need for our tyre size (but happy to be corrected!)

just found the response from Michelin when I emailed them in July 2020 re which tyres are newest! This is before the CC2 perhaps?
Dear Laurence, Thank you for contacting Michelin Customer Care. And we very much appreciate your feedback. I have forwarded it to the appropriate department, Regarding your query, we do actually have the latest version of the MICHELIN CrossClimate available in size 275/45 R20. - 275/45 R 20 110Y CROSSCLIMATE SUV XL The difference between the CrossClimate and the CrossClimate+ is that the new model offers 30% more longevity compared to other premium 4season tyres, and even when its worn down it delivers the level of snow traction of other tyres have at intermediate state, meanwhile the new model MICHELIN CrossClimate+ has better snow traction than its predecessor. The MICHELIN CrossClimate SUV is an even newer version of the CrossClimat+ and the difference between these two tyres, is that the MICHELIN CrossClimate+ is designed for regular vehicles, while the MICHELIN CrossClimate SUV is designed for 4x4 or AWD vehicles. The rubber compound and tread pattern remain the same between the two, however the SUV version will have deeper grooves, enabling it to handle occasional off-road situations (about 10%). The product number for this tyre is: 320613 It is rated C in fuel efficiency, B in wet grip and have 70db as external noise level. I hope this information will be helpful for you. Please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions, we will be more than happy to help. Kind Regards, Bahare MICHELIN Customer Care

I've run Nokians and Michelin CC on my XC60.
The Nokians were great, but the Michelins are the better tyre and they last longer too. (however, they're also about 30 quid a corner more expensive). I pick my new V60 up this Weds, and when the summer tyres go on that, I'll be putting Michelin CCs on.

I've not come across the XC99, was it a limited edition?
