I’m in North Yorkshire approx 2 hours from you, thought it might have been a tad too far 🤔.

SKF VKJC 1322 Drive Shaft
£142 delivered off eBay.
It has "five" different Volvo part numbers on the full description, therefore I guess it fits a lot of Volvo AWD models. If in doubt send them the Reg. or chassy No.

The XC60 rear driveshafts are shared (depending on model year and haldex version) with V70, XC70, S80 and some Ford Kuga. If you look at the shaft you will likely see two parts numbers - one Volvo, one Ford.

Replacement CV boots are available as pattern parts (check eBay) as are individual CV joints. Some generic CV boots will also fit. In the past I’ve bought a cheap pattern CV joint, used the boot on the car and gained a Chinese paper weight.

The rear trailing bushes do have a factory tool which makes swapping them easier but it absolutely can be done with a reasonable workshop press and the right spacers/attachments - if doing it without the tool it’s easier to cut out the old bush and press in the new one as is usually done with XC90 trailing arm bushes. It’s a similar arrangement on s40/v50 models and I’ve done those with just a big vice.
