Hi Bob,
Sounds great. I only have chrome on Windscreen and tailgate anyway. Do you know if they are the same profile as an 82 model? How much do you want for them, and how do we manage on here? Thanks again |

Hi Rob, I have been told that the seals profile changed after 86, wheather this is true or not. Do you know if the seals you have will fit an 82? and id like to accept your offer but need help in understanding how to manage. Thanks Mike

The later seals will fit. The design was changed to help stop water getting trapped inside the seal which led to corrosion of the metal behind. I expect you will find your metal to have rotted - repair to this and proper rustproofing of the repair is crucial to stop the water getting in. Seals are generally long lasting.

Thanks Mike, due to time and lack of experience I will ask my mechanic to do it, but I do fear the worst when removed, but a good job is one done properly. Do you know whats the latest year the seals will still fit?

I know this is a long shot but any chance you still have these and would be willing to sell them? I have an early 1975 245DL wagon and I'm specifically looking for the passengers side rear 3/4 (long window) rubber seal as mine is leaking and that part is NLA. Many thanks! |
