Default B200F head - disc to blank off distributor hole

Hello I can't find this in the forum but it has been mentioned.

Some B200F engines have the distributor fitted to the rear of the head. There is a disc available to blank off that hole. Where does one obtain that disc, does it have a part number or specification please?

Stephen

Thanks.

Main dealer, FRF, can't yet identify it. Is there a good description? Part number? What vehicle might the part be listed under? Please

I will look at Brookhouse.

Found it thanks Heckflosse.

From USA ... just for the name of it:
For Volvo 240 244 245 Engine Camshaft Plug Rear Qualiseal NEW 1336763

From Volvo dealer. It is a washer. (great name) part number 1336763
They get it from Genuine Classic Parts. P.S. from Volvo Sweden.
about two weeks.
With forum discount £8.59 delivered.

From Dai ... Cylinder head blanking plug B200 & B230
Part C 1336763 ... £11.39 delivered. apparently in stock.

P.S. from Brookhouse CYLINDER REAR RUBBER PLUG / BLANKING PLATE. FITS 240 MODELS WITH B200 / B230 ENGINES ... 1336763
£7.50. p&p probably £3.50? All plus VAT? so £13.20
I'm guessing all of these are therefore rubber. So fairly EASY to fit.

P.S. Yet another instance where a Volvo dealer gives the best price. FRF Volvo Swansea.

Thanks again Heckflosse.

*****

Now. Does it press fit by hand,
or gentle hammer tap with a socket as a drift, or ??

And. With or without sealant or lubricant ??
Please

Stephen

Thanks again

.

Received today.

It is a metal disc set in rubber. Should be easy to fit with care.

I am told Volvo have a good stock. Apparently their Genuine Classic Parts division shows on computer as in stock, not marked as low.

Thanks for all the help re this.

Stephen
