Default Volvo V70 AWD R Manual For Sale - Spares or repair.

Titanium Grey, Good quality Gobi leather interior - no splits or tears. 123000 miles MOT til 23.08.21.
The car runs on 18 inch Pegasus Alloy wheels with Goodyear F1 Eagle Tyres, all with good tread remaining. There is a Volvo Space saver + jack and the car is also fitted with a Volvo fixed tow bar, for a small trailer I own.
The car has been regularly serviced (usually me or dealer in early days to keep warranty). Some more complex work undertaken by local specialist indi garage.

Additionally the car has:-
4C suspension.
4cd Changer/RDS radio,
Roof rails and roof spoiler,
Power child locks and rear booster cushions,
Foldable table in rear seat
Volvo RTI+ discs
Telephone (hands free) - need a std sim card,
Rear sub woofer
Imiv adapter

Engine has a misfire caused by nil compression in No2 cylinder. The reason for this is unknown. However, the car is not loosing water, has no signs of oil in the expansion water bottle, nor does steam appear from the exhaust while running.
Other bad bits :- O/S front wing needs a re-spray - tried to treat a few paint blebs a couple of years back and did a poor job and the front spoiler bib has a bit of a droop.

The car has been owned by me since June 2008 with 47764mile. When purchased I took a one year Volvo warranty plus a 2 year Extended Volvo warranty. During that time the following were replaced:-
July 2008 approx 48k Angle Gear
Jan 2010 approx 62k OSF shock absorber
Clutch slave cylinder
Clutch assembly
Dual mass flywheel
Jan 2011 approx 67k Fuel pump control module and revised wiring loom.

Within the last few years annual mileage has reduced a lot, (approx 10K in last 3 years ) not that it was great to begin with. Items changed /repaired include :-

Sept 2019 117k New power steering pump + timing belt + tensioner.
July 2020 119k Checked cleaned and replaced parts of the PVA system
Sept 2020 Replace LH+RH hand hand brake cables, brakes shoes,
springs clips and O/S backing plate
Dec 2020 120k Exchange Turbo charger + O/S drive shaft fitted at Mill Volvo, at a cost of just over £2000.

I would like to be able to claw this money back so I'm asking £2000 for my car as it stands now. I certainly don't want more, and I hope this leaves head room for a repair which then gives someone a rare ( manual gearbox) and hopefully an appreciating future classic they can enjoy. Therefore I feel this is a reasonable ask. If you don't think it is, and it is actually excessive let me know, I don't take offence easily. Many years ago I would have jumped at a project car like this, especially as most AWD R seem to be auto's but I have lost my enthusiasm that youth gives, and I feel the need to move the car on.
Any questions let me know. Car is near Durham. Car is being sold Spare or repair. £2000.

Cheers
Bob

Tell me a bit more about the misfire....

All of the time?

Some of the time?

Under load?

I guess it still fine to drive normally?

Cheers

Miss fire is ALL the time. There is ZERO compression on No2 cylinder and to be honest engine shakes at anything more than idle. I'm not sure about driving it any distance. I am beginning to believe asking price may be optimistic and car may be better suited to being a doner car as there are valuable bits ie turbo; drive shaft, 18 inch pegs and interior etc.
Cheers
Bob.
