240 GLT Estate for sale. Full MOT
Hi, I have for sale a GLT estate. The car has a full MOT passed last week. It’s a long story but it has sat for a few years in Ripon. When I purchased it I got it from the original owner, he actually picked the car up from the factory, he was stationed in Germany at the time. The car has had quite a bit done to it to get its MOT new front arms head light reflectors an second hand wiper motor and other bits and bobs. It did need a couple of small welds be these were done quite easily and quickly. The car is very straight and the rear arches are really very good. It has a black leather interior and it’s in good condition. It’s an odd colour not seen it before it’s like a green darkish colour. There are some things that need to be looked at
. It will need a service very lumpy when cold when warm she is fine . The electric windows don’t work . It does blow fuses it had a new petrol pump fitted but still does it. It can go for quite a while without doing it. . It makes a noise in 5th to be honest might need a new gear box but don’t know . The bonnet needs re aligned it’s high at the windscreen end. I would say it’s a bit of a project car which is a strong base to have a really nice car. As I said everything is there and no obvious body rot or scabs. Having real trouble putting pictures on, but if interested send email to trev@buttercupcottage.co.uk Or ring on ... 07985216700 I currently drive a Torslander which I have owned for ages. I am flexible on price but I need to start at £1,800 to cover my costs. Thanks for looking Trevor |

Is your price too optimistic?
At least its low mileage. full MOT and a GLT GLT is great spec. Love the B230E engine and my auto version. Around 2 years ago I sold my workhorse of a 1989 240 GLT auto estate with 3 months MOT and no drivability issues for £500. It was an acceptable price then and needed a quick sale. It had 234,000 miles and all complete. Mine needed a good deep clean, reflectors, rear lights. Arches a bit rusty. Heater fan Dead. Drove very well. Have 240's really gone up in price for one needing work? Around 18 months ago it sold on ebay for £1200. Glad it went to a good home and is still on the road today! Some pictures would really help the sale. Colour sounds unusual, not seen one. I use ImageBB to host the pictures. James Last edited by volvo always; Apr 22nd, 2021 at 20:07. |
