There is also Carlube ATF-U which is fully synthetic, for early auto transmissions.

I just bought an 850 R with about 69,000 miles on it, when is it reccomended to change the ATF?
On an unrelated note, I'm having a bit of trouble finding my radio code for my 850 R. The serial number is V08350H2269501D. If anyone could find the code that would be very much appreciated. |

I would say yes, partly because you may not know the previous driver & conditions. These oils can be purchased at reasonable costs- particularly in 20 Ltr drums. I use Westway Lubricants or Smith & Allan: good on quality and service. It then becomes part of the regular service schedule (see previous advice by the forum members) The next owner will love you! ----------------------------- ~ --------------------------- Radio code-I believe a descent Volvo garage can give you the code- it belongs to you, I'm sure others will name a garage for you. If the radio is original to the car any main dealer will be able to give you the code.
