Default Dump valve noise

My d5 has a very loud dump noise especially when cold.

Is this normal on a 170k engine.

If boost is good, comes in low down, and doesn't overboost, it's not a "problem" I would be spending too much time on.

Check the integrity of the air box though as many are disfigured through ham fisted air filter replacement.

If you can also get around or over 160g/s on the MAF reading too, there would be nothing of any concern to me on the air side.
