RE: Petrol Question , LRP or Unleaded ?
A wire will not make any difference. The problem is the valve seats, if they are hardended then the car will run fine on leaded or unleaded, but if your car then has a catalytic converter the lead will kill that off pretty quickly. You can run on unleaded.

Unleaded ? Yeeeeeeeeesssssss !!
Hello,
Just wanted to say ( hang on) ... Yes :7 ...Yes :) Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss !! :7 , ....ummmm where was I ? oh yes.....remember when I said my Volvo runs on LRP ? ...well I did it, ...I put unleaded petrol in my Volvo 340 .. and on my V5 Registration Document it says ... " Date of Registration : 25 / 11 / 1986 !!! ......as you might have guessed already, it works Fantastic, at first I put in just £3 of unleaded just to try it, (no problems) ... so when I drove it untill the petrol light was flashing , I put £10 of unleaded in, no problems whatsoever, No pinking, just beautiful smooth driving, so much for the volvo dealers I phoned they were only interested in my money for parts I didn't need, if it weren't for you guys, I would still be travelling 12 to 15 miles just to put LRP in for the rest of my Volvo's lifetime , well I just wanted to share this with you all as you have helped us alot, ........ what would we do without you ! thankyou .... oh well time to go to the garage for unleaded again ! hehe :) :D :P :9 :* :7 :) :D :P :9 :* :7 |
