Vacuum mount query
Hi all
My vacuum mounts on my e4 185 are ready for changing as low or no vacuum being held but it’s going to be 2-3 weeks before I can get them changed. Can the feed to them be capped off temporarily or is it better just leaving as is and continue running till I can get them changed? Many thanks |

Leaking mounts don't affect turbo control on the Euro 4 D5 unlike on a Euro 3, but I would still block the line until you can replace the mounts as the brakes are vacuum assisted.

Many thanks.
I assume I should be fine capping it off for a couple of weeks then until I can get fresh mounts? May I ask are you the man who has the tutorials on YouTube? Thanks again |

Many thanks for that. Think I watched your video on the temporary fix for leaking mount but just wasn’t sure how long the temporary bit could be 😝
Thanks again |

As temporary as you possibly can considering you're driving with a knackered mount.

Test them both separately before you replace. You don't want to replace the rear one unless you have to.
