'Chrimbo' is a British colloquial contraction \ corruption of 'Christmas'

Became infamous (for a while at least) when a 'comedian' called Avid Merrion did a novelty hit called 'Proper Chrimbo' off the back of a programme called 'Bo Selecta'.

Trust me, you don't want me to explain that little nugget of British television.....
