Classic Car Insurance
My agreed value insurance is for renewal for my 69 Volvo 121 limited to 3000 miles. I have been quoted £114 from Lancaster my present Insurers. Is this a good deal?
Thanks

Footman James have never given me any problems. It's also good having the recovery thrown in (but note that it probably won't include home-start, so living at the top of a mile-long hill would definitely be a plus!).

Hi Jim,
I can also vouch for Footman James. There was no extra charge for performance modifications either. Gordon |

I use footman James as well.
For my 164 and the 740. Both agreed value and unlimited mileage [ for the unlimited mileage you have to be a club member]Very good value fully comp and recovery. Regards Mike B |

I used to insure my Westfield with Footman James and they were very good. Great when I made a claim!
I've got the volvo insured with Adrian Flux. Didn't get round to shopping around, and can't really comment on their service yet as it's only been a few weeks. They were pretty good on the mods. They did tell me that they only had a 3 door 121 estate on their system though... |

I'm using Classicline and will prob stay with them. Tried F.James and after going through the rigmarole online it said "can't give you a quote". They also think estates are 3-doors... Guess they all use the same kr*p back-end system...

I've just had a quote from Footman James 0845 458 6781.
£93.60 for our 122S, with European cover for 35 days and UK and European breakdown cover, with agreed valuation and unlimited mileage! I think that's a really good policy. (The car is group 1 and we live in a group 1 area which I think helps) The VOC insurance company told me to phone Footman James as they wouldn't be able to get anywhere near them on a classic policy of a none garaged car, which was really good of him. Couldn't do a web quote as it's not garaged, but they were quick and helpful on the phone. Highly recommended.
