Default Top Radiator Hose for B14 engined 340

Hi,

I have a brand new, unused top radiator hose for a B14 powered 300 Series (part no. 3285477).

I would be willing to accept a reasonable offer from anybody who the part is of use to.

Thanks.

Is that for the pre 1982 versions ( B14 1E ) with the original front panel ? Mines still ok after 33 years and 250000 miles but a spare would be good to have , they don't make them like that anymore :-)

Hi Clan,

To be honest, I'm just going by what the part number came up as. According to Volvo 300 Mania, it corresponds with the number for the top radiator hose used for the B14 between 1982 and 1985.

I could email you a picture if you like?

ahh they changed in 1982 when the radiator went from the engine side of the front panel to a much bigger radiator on the other ( front ) side of the front panel .so i guess that is the later type , quite long ......

Thanks though ..

It physically measures about 17 cm in length and curves to the top and side.

No problem anyway.

Actually, to be a real anorak it was the water pump that changed from the 82yr model. The radiator did gain an extra connection to a new expansion tank (and the tank on the rad n/s was deleted.
The hoses did indeed change but the rad remained within the engine bay.

It eventually moved from the inner to outer face of the front panel from the 86yr.model during the facelift which also accommodated the B172k.

Naturally enough the rad and heater hoses changed yet again.

Mollusk.

Work out the postage and what you think it's worth. I'll take the risk it's right for our old dear. PM me when you're ready.

Thanks
