V70 Awd 2.5t
Hiya, I have just bought a V70 AWD 2.5T ( one of the members I believe? )
Just a couple of questions please: Towbar. Usually go for Witter, is there a special "awd" version? Somewhere I read the electrics are a "plug in " type could any one help me with this one? Want twin electrics, do they both plug in?? The tyres will need replacement, and i dont skimp on tyres!! Was thinking low profiles??? Any ideas or experience?? Bought the car to tow my caravan, has anyone done any "mods" to make towing better?? Cheers every-one |

Borrowed Picture from another member, until I can do my own. She's mine now! Spent most of the day fitting a new head unit. DVD/iPod Video player. Sounds very nice now! Had some new tyres fitted too, all round. That hurt, but golly what a better ride and handle!! Out looking for mods now ( with what money I have left!! ) Any-one know the best place to get a red door marker light for the front O/S door??

Hi,
hope you've got the same make, type and size of tyre all round on your AWD, the transfer boxes don't like odd tyres. Check the owners manual for more information. Transfer boxes are about £1300 to replace!

Ya, id read on here about the tyres WELL in advance of buying the tyres.
So all the same on each foot :-) Went for : Goodyear Excelence 205/55 R16 Had the car in the Volvo garage the other day and they checked the box for leak's or weakness's and said it look all fine and dandy to them.

The AWD models require a unique tow bar.
Unfortunatly it's quite expensive from Volvo, but the electrics are plug and play. Patrick

The Tow-bar got fitted this week, and yes the cost did bite as only Volvo can fit the AWD version around here!!! But it's done now. Just need to go on holiday now to try it out :-)
