Default slow pull away

hi i have a v70 r auto 1997 with a remap. the car felt sluggish for a long time from standstill, on noting the wastegate arm was a bit slack i checked the opening of it and it opened at 2psi. i adjusted it to open around 5psi but the thread on the arm is almost finished is this normal or should i look elsewhere? noticeablythe pull away is better now butin the past i had a v70 t5 cd with a rica remap and the performance was outstanding. even with a remap the v70r was 0-60 in 8.5 seconds which is terrible. should i be looking at the bcs? what checks could i do on this> many thanks
dan

Sorry for late reply, but my Dad had a similar problem with his 97 V70R and after a long time, it was traced to a hole in the diapram in the actuator...may be worth a look if you've not sorted it already!!
