Default ECU Fault Lambda Sensor

Hi

I am looking for some advice.
I have a 2000 mk1 V70 estate on 168,000 miles that has just failed it's MOT on emissions!
It has been a Bosch rig which is showing a fault either with the front Lambda sensor or the wiring itself, but they are not able to clear the fault. I have been advised that even if the lambda sensor is replaced, if the fault cannot be cleared it may still fail on emissions. I have already had the cat replaced on initial advice along with some front suspension ball joints.
I have been told that I need to take it Volvo to have the fault fully diagnosed and cleared!?
Given the age and mileage of the car, there is a limit on how much more I spend on it, as it is probably not worth that much, and I know that Volvo will not be cheap!
Is there anyone that has come across this problem and has any advice on this??

Many thanks

Tim

Default Fault Codes

Hi, thanks for the advice.

I have been told that the fault codes are:
2110-Front heated oxygen sensor heating
720A-immobiliser communication, faulty signal

Only found these out yesterday.
I have now booked it in with Volvo for a full diagnostic on their system, to see what they come up with.

Don't see much point in taking it to Volvo, you will only find out what you already know.

Which engine ihas this car?
