Default orange headsup display

I just had my v40 cc delivered yesterday (8 months old). I notice I am frequently getting an orange heads up display with 3 bars appearing on the windscreen when I am driving. What does this mean?

You're driving to close to the car in front! It's part of the Collision Avoidence system, you set the distance you want between you and the car in front using the left thumb wheel on the steering wheel (displayed in the speedo areas) and if you get too close this shows Amber or red if really close.....

I get 3 bars accompanied by an audio alert, this sometimes happens when approaching parked cars even though I'm clearly in no danger of a collision, I just concluded the avoidance system is sometimes over cautious

it can be a little over sensitive, especially when passing parked cars when there is oncoming traffic!

the orange comes up when you are driving too close to the vehicle in front of you. This distance is adjustable from the steering wheel. (I really like this feature).

the headsup display comes up RED and gives an audible warning if it thinks you are in danger of a collision. This I find can be over sensitive but still worth having on IMO.
