Default Kinked my fuel line that goes to rail.

Yesterday while trying to put my my car back together after doing a full PCV and engine seal job, I accidentally bent the fuel line going to the fuel rail/FPR too far and heard a snap and now there is an obvious weak spot in the hose where it kinks when bent. I am afraid I ruined the integrity of this hose and need a fix. The line is part number 30681549, fuel pipe, costs between $120-$170 and a few days turn around.

Is this a nylon hose covered in rubber?
If it is nylon could I use a nylon fuel hose union like this?:
https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-800-01.../dp/B000CIV4OG
They come in 5/16 inch and 3/8 inch sizes, would either size work?

I'm going to check the junk yards in my area, but would appreciate any ideas you guys have for a fix.

Downer...gotta love that. If it were me, I would not bother trying to fix. Head to wreckyard for sure, otherwise type the part # into ebay or head to fcpeuro to see if you can find a cheaper aftermarket part.

I would probably keep driving it until the part arrived again, if it were me. Assuming of course that there are no leaks.

Good luck, how frustrating.

Edit: alright, just took a look around, doesn't seem like any aftermarket stuff is available. In that case, I might be tempted to execute a fix. I can't offer any suggestions on hose types though, sorry.

Got a junk yard unit. For all interested, this pipe is found on 2000-2004 S40/V40s.

Thanks.
