Dealership recommendations, Bucks/Beds/Herts?
Hi to all -
New to Volvos but recently acquired a 2008 C70 D5 SE, 20k on the clock. Today, first frosty day since I bought it, pulling off the drive I get 'Anti-Skid Service Required' followed by 'DSTC Off'. Half a mile later at the bottom of the hill, messages had gone. Not seen again all day so far, now nearly 100 miles and three trips later. Reading up on here (seem to be doing a lot of that lately!) I see that subject to certain error code (if stored) the ABS error is fixable FOC by Volvo dealer on cars under 5 years old. Car turns 5 on March 1st, so thinking it would be a good idea to get it checked through a dealer soon. My most conveniently located dealers appear to be Marshalls, Milton Keynes Bells, Bedford Squire Furneaux, High Wycombe, Regent Automotive, Gerrards Cross Volvo Cars, Watford So could I ask, from others' experiences, are any of those particularly recommended or advisable to avoid? Thanks for any info/opinions! Cheers - - Ian. |

I've had great service from Squire Furneaux for 3 years (although I use the Maidenhead branch).

Squire Furneaux or Bells (If it's part of Bell's of Northampton)
Both (If Bedford is part of Bells of Northampton) have historically been Volvo dealers that were run in the family, and therefore I find always give better service than one that is part of the big national dealer groups (Arnold Clark, Pendragon etc)

I have had a number of helpful visits to Bells in Northampton. Even though I regard myself as a 'casual' visitor to the dealership I am always well treated and looked after.

Regent Automotive is a extremely helpful dealership. All very pleasant people. I bought a C30 T5 about 5 months ago from there after my last one was stolen. They gave a lot of help when my car was stolen.

I've used Marshalls in MK (Pilling before them) for the last 10 years and have been very happy with the service, especially in the past couple of years.
