Did you code the new injector to the car? You need Vida dice or a dealer to do that. Vida dice would also read your fault codes and give you an idea of where to start.
Cheserd5 on here has uploaded a number of helpful vidios that may assist you, and can supply a known working Vida dice for a very good price.

There are 3 'grades' of injectors and you are only supposed to be able to fit a replacement which is one grade away from the others i.e. you could change a type 1 for type 2, but not type 3. Was the replacement injector brand new or used (so potentially faulty)?

Sorry my knowlage of Vida/dice is very limited, I have used it to wind back the rear calipers to change the pads and it tells me a tweeter speaker is inoperative on my driver's door but nothing else. I baught mine through chesired5 as he garenteed it a working unit unlike some of the eBay sellers, and indeed once a computer literate friend loaded it on to my laptop it worked out of the box.
Hopefully others can help.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get the software to enable my ecu to allow it to self learn to a new injector as the chapping is doing my box in
. Thanks

It looks like replacement injectors on this particular engine need to be supplemented with an injector confirmation software download. Something that can only be done by either Volvo, or a suitably equipped independent with a Volvo software subscription.
