Default A tip if your new Volvo keeps stalling at low revs ..

Just a few days into ownership of my 855 and I wanted to work out why she was stalling when I came off the accelerator quickly. Being an automatic means catching the revs before she cuts out was decidedly fiddly.

Anyhow, I'd read up on here about the various issues that could be causing this, however, as soon as I removed the flexi-hose from the air filter to the throttle body the probable reason was clear ... three great big holes in the hosing!

A few winds of tape as an emergency fix and then a quick run round the block confirmed that the problem's gone and further driving today's supported that too.

So if yours is cutting out on the overrun (since this was dumping waaaay too much air into the engine) then check your hoses. See pic

Now to purchase a replacement hose.

Can someone confirm what's this piece correctly named as?
