Default Day light running lights

Hi all

i have just upgraded my 1998 S70 and aquired a 2005 V70 D5, which absolutely love.

The daylight running lights are active which i am happy with on swithch setting '0' and on this setteing the dash lights are also on, which seems a little OTT.

On my old S70, there was little screw next to the light switch which could give different options for running lights...i suspect to change options on newer models it will be Volvo dealer time and cost to alter.

can anyone tell me what the options are for daylight running lights are and best way to change them. Esentially i want the daylights on but not dashboard unless i switch main lights on.

Cheers

Geoff

The dash lights will go off in bright light there is a sensor somewhere on dashboard which controls this,Dealer will be able to diable the DRL's.

DRL is dealer disable at approx £30.

If you want to keep DRL on and reduce the dashboard glare even further, the only option is turning down the the illumination level, but then you will need to turn up at night.

If you have the setting at 0, your main beam will not stay on unless you turn on your headlights.
