Default How much is my XC90 worth now...........

Just out of interest went on the "we buy any car" site and filled in the details of our car.

Well what a surprise , we paid £ 58 K for the car in July and according to the website Our car is now worth a total of £ 38 K , that is a grand loss of £20 K in six months. Even if you adjust the fugure by 10% it is still not great. So much for The XC90 holding their value !

That's why I now never buy new.
But I would take that quote with a pinch of salt.
Did the same thing with my XC60, has lost £5k in 3 months or £20k since new (list price) in Jan 15.

Don't they just sell your car back to the trade to make even more money out of someone else. I'd use them instead of scrapping a car, not for a quality motor with years left but agree we all loose at the beginning unless you get a fat discount.

Webuyanycar valued my V40 at over 35% below what I paid, after 4 months, don't think their valuation program can take into account any extras you may have (had similar issue with my high spec A5 as well)

They're out to make money like any other business praying on people after a quick sale. The price they offer is not the value of your car

I got a quote from we buy any car for my 09 xc90 in 2012.
Sold the car on eBay for approximately 35 %more 2 weeks later.

Second hand the Volvo dealers are selling them for about £54k. So that would be a huge profit for that web dealer.

From my experience the loss is normally about £4k to £5k if you want to sell a top of the range premium brand early.

If you want to sell it for £38k I'll buy it.

The dealer offered £46K ! - only if we buy an other Volvo from them! He will then sell the car for about £52-53K ,which is correct.
That means for the pleasure of driving for 5 months has cost us £12K

But if you know a dealer who will offer more, please do put us in contact !

If you read the Volvo Reevoo reviews for the XC90's you will find that a few have been already sold within weeks due to their dissapointment with a lost of between £8K and £10 K.
