Mike

Just got back from camping holiday so a quick reply for now, to keep you going.

The 140 cylinder (at least, for my '68 car) won't fit the 164 - I know, I tried before I got my 140 brakes done as I have a spare 164 cylinder. The mounting holes are a very different pitch, and the 140 cyl is at least an inch longer.

re overhaul kits, I got a set from Brookhouse a couple of years back so prob still available. However, Simon may well ask either the cars chassis number, or if it has Girling or ATE brakes. Worth a try.

Last year I need that for my 72 Volvo 164, repair kit's are available on Volvo store in Portugal but expensives, try scandcar or VP autoparts, for me they work well and quickly with the shipping items brake master cylinder and calipers.

The 144 do not fit in 164, they are diferent.
